Manga Museum

On Friday I went to the Kyoto International Manga Museum. When we arrived, we went upstairs and watched a 紙芝居 or a paper play. The lady who did the performance had an amazing laugh. And she used these sticks to add sound effects to her story. I actually hear the sound these sticks make in lots of Japanese entertainment. After that, I saw a plaster cast of the hand of the creator of Assassination Classroom which is the first anime I ever watched. And after that, I looked at an exhibit about the history of manga. I never thought I would see a Levi Ackerman cosplay in a museum.

After that I got very distracted by an exhibit about Japan and Taiwan and their relationship. I wrote a long paper about Taiwan under Japanese rule last semester, and it was interesting to see how manga was incorporated into the exhibit. By the time I finished looking at that exhibit, Bridget and Ashtyn had already done their language missions. I went to the front desk and asked if they had a specific manga about acting because I could not think of any about movies. Acting and movies are close enough, right? They did not have the one I was looking for, but I'll still explain the plot here. Thank you Marshall for the recommendation 👍

Pseudo Harem was created by 斉藤ゆう and is basically about this teenage boy who wants to be popular, so this teenage girl who likes acting decides to help him by pretending to be multiple girls, and of course they are all in love with him. And of course the boy and girl actually fall in love. Supposedly this is peak fiction, but I'm not sure I believe that.
